THE ERA OF INFLATABLE SURFING Luke’s innovative spirit at Surf9 gives life to new ideas and products to overcome the challenges we face in water- sports. For years, surfers have struggled with the challenge of surf traveling such as damaged boards, high priced airline baggage fees, or having to settle for expensive subpar surf- board rentals. Surf9 manufactures the Body Glove EZ 8’2” inflatable long- board and is their solution with an extremely durable con- struction, higher pressure drop stitch for incredible stiffness, low volume, and pin tail design to allow for higher carving performance. The user can now travel anywhere in the world with their surfboard rolled up in a backpack. With these new inflatable surfboards the buoyancy is higher allowing for faster paddling on top of the water’s surface making waves easier to catch and a very stable platform that will allow for an endless fun filled experience. Luke Hopkins, Surf9’s Watersports Division President, is a former pro whitewater kayaker and all-around waterman. His first time surfing his new creation came with a surprise of how easy it was to catch waves, it’s incredible stability, and how effortless it performed.
