Chalking up 25 years of ex- perience as a sales representative for Woolrich, Accola represented all divi- sions for that brand and worked ex- tensively with the merchandising team to encourage sell-through at retail. “Brian brings with him an amaz- ing amount of hands-on experience and retail relationships. He’s one of the most high energy, positive people I know; I’m really looking forward to having him join our team,” said Steve Talacki, Mountain Khakis director of sales. Implus announced a strategic part- nership with Interex Industries to dis- tribute STABIL performance footwear traction products across all Canadian territories for the independent retail and safety, and industrial markets. STABIL, the maker of STABILicers, was recently acquired by Implus and integrated into Implus’ portfolio of lead- ing traction brands, including Yaktrak, SnowTrax by Yaktrax, Wintertrax, and ICEtrekkers. Interex has been the dis- tributor for Yaktrax since 2000. STABIL will join the Interex Indus- tries’ portfolio of Implus Outdoor brands, which the Canadian company has distributed in full since 2015. Headquar- tered in Vancouver, British Columbia, In- terex Industries has been serving retail- ers across Canada for nearly 50 years in the outdoor, shoe, lifestyle, sporting goods and industrial market channels. Helinox has hooked up with In- Sport Fashions for sales and distribu- tion in Canada. The partnership gives Canadian retailers improved access to Helinox’s growing line of collapsible outdoor furniture.   “Helinox syncs perfectly with our portfolio of high quality, well estab- lished brands like Osprey and Exped,” adds Guillaume Chatel, who will be in charge of managing these three brands for In-Sport Fashions.  In-Sport Fashions also currently distributes Icemule Coolers, Luci Lights by MPOWERD, Slackline In- dustries, Chaco and Astral. The com- pany will begin distribution of Helinox products starting November 2018. Ortovox has entered a partner- ship with Rand Whitney, principal of Alpin Sport Group in the Northeast territory, covering Maine to Mary- land. Whitney, a career outdoor industry professional based in Shel- burne, Vermont, started in 1993 as a buyer and retail manager in Penn- sylvania. He’s worked with a range of brands including Mammut, High Sierra, Lowe Alpine, MSR, Crazy Creek and Lafuma/Millet. LEKI Adds Representation in South-Central U.S. LEKI announced the appointment of sales rep Mike Felix of Midcoast Outdoors to cover the South-Central trekking and outdoor retail territory, including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Louisiana, effective January 1, 2019. Kevin Cox, who has covered the territory for LEKI for the last 16 years, will be retiring as an in- dependent sales representative at the end of the year. “Kevin is a true professional and a road warrior, as well as a good friend. We will miss him greatly and wish him all the best in retirement,” said Marty Callahan, sales director for LEKI USA. Felix has more than 20 years’ experience as a rep and retail store owner and currently represents Ruff- wear, Deuter, Sole, Royal Robbins, Cotopaxi, Klean Kanteen, Good To-Go Foods and Tentree. He will be respon- sible for LEKI’s fall 2019 orders. Hillsound Add Mullins Outdoors to Sales Force Mullins Outdoors has been charged with furthering the distribu- tion of Hillsound Equipment products in the Midwest markets. Based in Sandstone, Minn., Mullins Outdoors has 40 years of sales experience and will expand Hillsound’s reach and offer representation in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ne- braska, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Upper Michigan.
