The preferred dates finally have been secured for Outdoor China. Messe Frankfurt and the China Outdoor Commerce Alliance, the organizers of the fair, have successfully lobbied the management of the Shanghai Exhibition Centre to hold China’s first exhibition for outdoor sports and leisure activities from 23 – 25 June 2011.
“These dates fit better with the outdoor sports and leisure activities exhibition calendar and were always our favored time slot,” said Hubert Duh, a member of the Board of Directors of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd. “The move comes after a series of discussions with the management of the fairground, who now recognize holding the event one month later, will boost show participation. As a result of this change, onsite business dialogue between industry professionals will be maximized.”
The show will feature a wide variety of international and domestic manufacturers and suppliers of apparel styles, backpacks, books and maps, outdoor sports gear and equipment, footwear, specialised materials, tools and accessories. And the event will be of particular interest to import and export companies, trading companies, department stores, outward-bound businesses, tourism associations and naturists involved in the purchase, production and promotion of bicycle, camp, paddle, snow, trail and wildlife based activities undertaken in a natural or an artificial natural environment, says show organizers.
To help participants gain a better understanding of the issues affecting the industry, a comprehensive fringe program will be held together with the show. Program highlights will include a series of informative seminars and a raft of hot product presentations led by seasoned professionals.
