| SIA to Recognize Retailer and Rep Award Winners |
Tuesday, January 24, 2012 |
Retailer nominees in the U.S. hailed from seven different regions and were voted on by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry. Winners of the Canadian accolades came from five different territories in their country. The SIA U.S. Retailer of the Year Award is based upon a shop’s contribution to the growth of the snow sports industry, its promotional and marketing techniques and its success in the ski, snowboard, tele, cross country and/or snowshoe marketplace. The award winners are nominated and selected by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry. The SIA U.S. and Canadian SnowSports Regional Rep of the Year recognizes reps in the snow sports industry that have successfully fostered relationships with retail storefronts to help move winter sports products. Nominations for this accolade came from snow sports retailers in the industry. The award winners are nominated and selected by retailers in the snow sports industry. “We were excited to have so many votes come in for this year’s accolades, seeing the industry eager to recognize hard working colleagues,” said Minna Casser of SIA. “The 2011 retailer and rep award winners have used their enthusiasm and passion for the industry to promote snow sports and provide their customers with exceptional products and service. We would like to congratulate each winner and thank them for all that they have done for the industry.” These awards are part of the overall SIA Awards Program that SIA has continued to build over the past several years.
